Representing Jammu & Kashmir, Nasir and his teammates took on some of the strongest volleyball squads from across the country. Against all odds, the J&K boys emerged victorious, winning the gold medal after defeating the formidable Uttar Pradesh side in the finals with a scoreline of 3–1. For a team coming from a region where sports infrastructure has often lagged behind, this victory was no less than historic. Nasir’s contributions to the team’s success were widely praised and he became a household name back home in Baramulla.

What makes Nasir’s journey truly inspiring is not just the medals or the recognition, but the challenges he overcame along the way.
