
Tasneem Kawoos, a promising young girl from Lal Bazar in Srinagar, who recently gained attention for her remarkable achievement in Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Judicial) Examination emerged as top scorer in 2023 JKPSC.
Bringing honors to the Valley, Tasneem Kawoos, a Srinagar district native, outperformed 208 contestants with an astounding score of 628 marks to take first place in the 2023 Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Judicial) Examination, according to a media source.
Kawoos, an Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) alumni, who is presently studying LLM there, shared her secret to success and stressed upon the need of analytical abilities for preparations in exam. She highlighted that major factor in her success was due to stress on analytical skills in legal subjects and going beyond merely memorizing provisions.
According to the Bar and Bench website, Kawoosa stated that in addition to focused study, using legal publications to manage time well, being abreast about the current legal changes, are essential for achieving the highest exam score. According to the article, Kawoosa is also placed eighth in the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission’s Prosecuting Officer (PO) examination (JKPSC).
She underscored the significance of staying abreast of legal developments, advocating for a disciplined study routine and utilization of legal journals for efficient time management.
“Legal journals presenting abridged forms of judgments in the form of headnotes and short notes are really helpful,” she stated. The inspiring journey of Kawoos serves as a powerful testament to the undeniable truth that success is a direct result of unwavering dedication and tireless effort. It reaffirms that there are no shortcuts on the path to such great achievement.
