AITA UNDER-12 CHAMPION : ERIN MIR

Erin Mir, a 10-year-old from Srinagar, is bringing honour to Jammu and Kashmir by being the first girl from J&K to rank in the top 20 of the All India Ranking in tennis. On March 1st, 2022, Erin started her professional training debut. On the court, her relentless focus and persistent work ethic have set her apart. On November 23, 2023, Erin achieved a notable feat as she won the AITA Under-12 Championship series for the first time.

Her quick rise to the 27th spot in the AITA ranking within a short span of time, despite her initial low placement, is a testament to her tenacity and diligence. She is the first girl from J&K to enter the All India Ranking’s top 20. Erin Mir’s incredible accomplishment is a testament to her commitment, growth, and unwavering will to succeed in the sport at such a young age.

This young girl from Kashmir has not only achieved the milestone but also set an example and the source of inspiration to all young girls of Kashmir in sports world. Erin mir’s greater achievements in the arena  is awaited by all Kashmiris as hero of Kashmir.
